Profiles Overview
Profiles are not linked to any zone or account. They live in the plugin itself and work across any site you manage. There are two separate profile systems — one for WAF rule configurations and one for zone selections — designed to work together for agency deployments.
WAF Rule Profiles#
WAF Rule Profiles save a named snapshot of your entire rule configuration — every rule, every toggle, every setting. Use them to maintain different configurations for different client types without manually reconfiguring 30+ settings each time.
A profile bar sits at the top of the WAF Rules section. It contains a dropdown to select the active profile, a New Profile button, and a Delete button.
When you install version 1.0.16, a Default profile is created automatically from your existing settings. Nothing changes for existing users.
To create a profile, configure your rules the way you want, then click New Profile and give it a name — for example, WooCommerce Standard or Client A Aggressive. The current rule settings are saved to that profile immediately.
To switch profiles, select one from the dropdown. All rule settings in the UI update instantly to match that profile. No save is required to switch.
To save changes to the active profile, adjust your rules and click the Save button. The button always shows which profile it will write to — for example, Save — WooCommerce Standard — so it is always clear where changes are going.
To delete a profile, select it from the dropdown and click Delete. The Default profile cannot be deleted.
Up to 10 profiles are supported. Profiles include the on/off state of each rule, so if a rule is disabled in a profile it will be disabled when that profile is loaded.
Domain Profiles#
Domain Profiles save a named selection of zones. Use them to quickly check the right set of client sites before deploying without manually hunting through a large zone list each time.
A domain profile bar sits above the zone grid in the Deploy panel. It contains a dropdown to select the active profile, a Save button, a New Profile button, and a Delete button.
The Default profile starts empty with no zones selected.
To create a profile, check the zones you want in the zone grid, then click New Profile and give it a name — for example, WooCommerce Clients or Staging Sites. The current zone selection is saved to that profile immediately.
To switch profiles, select one from the dropdown. The zone grid updates instantly — zones in the profile are checked, all others are unchecked.
To update an existing profile with a new selection, check your zones and click Save. This overwrites the active profile’s zone list.
To delete a profile, select it and click Delete. The Default profile cannot be deleted.
Up to 10 domain profiles are supported. Zone IDs that no longer exist in your account are silently skipped when a profile is applied.
Typical Agency Workflow#
Load your rule profile for the job — for example, WooCommerce Standard. Load your domain profile for the relevant clients — for example, WooCommerce Clients. Adjust any rules if needed and hit Save to keep the profile updated. Select your zones if the profile does not cover them all, then deploy.
